It's Sunday again

Hello. Funny how that happens every week!  ;)

The fans weren't on in church this morning. Yipes.

On the positive side, we got a new deacon. He was just ordained yesterday. Everyone applauded him.

I got some good audiobooks from the library. I've been listening to a lot of those lately. Still haven't played Storm Rise on the X Box 360. Should be a good afternoon.

That's it for now. See you later. Thanks.  :)

New week :)

Hi. It's October already. The weather has just started to cool off here. I don't have a costume for Halloween. My dog does, though-- it's a dragon with purple spots.  :)

I rented some movies, and most of them weren't any good, unfortunately. On two of them, the video store guy forgot to remove the stupid clips that keep the cases shut.  :(

I rented a new game from Game Fly, "Stormrise" or something. I don't know what it's like.

Got a little reading done today. I've also been listening to my audiobooks.

That's it for now. See you soon. Thanks.  :)

They started the week without me...

Hello. Today's the 21st of September. They've started showing English Premier League games on two channels now (where I live), so I got to spend most of the morning in a pleasant fog. The local library doesn't open on Mondays, so I've had to go online and check their audiobook collection-- and wouldn't you know it, most of that is checked out too.

I had to uninstall some programs today that were just giving me too much grief. I hope it will save some memory. Lately, I've tried to erase a number of things, but no matter what I do, the amount of free gigabytes never seems to increase. Maybe I need to run the defragmenter later on.

I got a fairly decent soccer video game. Also rented a couple of other things. Think I'll play some before I leave. See you later. Thanks.  :)

Hello. I have a test tomorrow, for a possible job with a Hillsborough County government office, so I've taken the day off. It'll be nice to just come home and sleep off the tension.

It's very hot here. I can't wait for fall to arrive. There are lots of games to watch, so I can stay inside and enjoy the air conditioning.  :)

I can't wait for hockey season to get going. I think it starts next month. There's a site where you can download games from youth hockey leagues, and I may just do that.  :)

Today I started listening to an audiobook copy of "Honor Bound" by W.E.B. Griffin. It's pretty good.

That's all for now. See you later. Thanks.  :)

Hello. It's an odd day here. We got the Tennis Channel HD, which is great! I had some spicy potato chips, and I want to drink something, but I can't because I would also like to go to sleep.

I did a little straightening up at home. I lost my bill from the dentist, so I called the office-- and it turned out the total was a lot more than I thought it would be. Yipes. Well, I paid it, no reason to put it off.

Not feeling that well today. I'll try to get some reading done before I turn in. See you later. Thanks.  :)

Caturday hurrah :)

Hi. It's a sunny day here, and I'm unwinding after a long week. I work third shift, so I just finished this morning, not yesterday like most people. I'm trying to stay up for a while and watch TV. It's going well-- I'm watching soccer.

I got the new Pat Conroy book! I love him, I've read everything he ever wrote. I can't wait to get started. I also got a mystery called "The Unscratchables"! It stars a cat and a dog! Can you get better than that?  :)

I forgot to get a DVD I wanted. I'll have to order it. I also need to remember to get a new little radio. I get bored during the long shifts at work, and it really helps to kill time if I have a bunch of stations so I can flip between different shows. Somehow, it helps me feel like I haven't lost contact with the world if I have "live" radio on.

I'm going to enjoy my new fudge Snickers bar. I love candy. :) They just came out with a limited edition fudge-flavor Snickers, so I'm anxious to see what it's like. Probably nummy.  :)

See you later. Thanks.   :)

Hello. I finally finished a new episode of my podcast, two months or so after I started working on it. I'm surprised the audio came out pretty well.

I managed to do my assigned use of Listerine today, which is incredible. I hate it. I don't know what they put in that stuff, but it tastes awful. I hope they let me switch to another brand when I go for my next exam.

It's funny, but I can't get the closed captions to work on the Funimation channel. I don't know why, since it works for almost every other station. I've tried all the buttons on two remotes, and nothing makes the titles come up. Oh, well. I really like subtitles. They help me when the show is out of control and hard to understand... which is the case for most of the shows on Funimation.  :)

I might get a snack. See you later. Thanks.  :)

Hello. The mail is late here. I'm waiting for the truck. There is nothing like getting things in the mail.  :)

I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately. Yesterday, I downloaded and copied to CD the free Librivox.org edition of "Crime and Punishment." Audiobooks and music help me keep from getting bored at work.

You can use the orange box above to subscribe to my neat little music podcast. Thanks.  :)

I've had a lot of problems with slow Internet reception today. Hope it clears up later. I don't like to go a long time without reading my email.
