Hello. It's June 22. Some good news, at least: I picked up a replacement X Box 360, and the set up was a breeze. You don't get a cord with a switch for HD or old style TVs anymore-- everything's HD. :) I was able to dig up my old Live Arcade account. I'm glad it worked. I would hate to have lost my game points. This means I also get to keep my Game Fly account, which is nice. I like to have a source of free game points-- if I like the game, I play it a lot and rack up lots of achievements; if not, I play it once or twice and send it in. This reminds me-- now I can go to Game Stop and trade in my old games. There are a few sitting on the shelf. I don't know if there's anything good coming out now, but it wouldn't hurt to put value on my GS card.
Father's Day was nice. My Dad liked his present-- I got him a gift card. :)
I also got a new dance game for the X Box. It comes with a floor pad. Yay! I get to jump all over the place, like in the arcade, and make a fool out of myself! :)
That's it for now. I'll see you later. Thanks.
Rest in peace, X Box 360. I hardly knew ye.
Now I've got to pull another gajillion dollars out of my-- oh, never mind.
I called Game Spot and they said they don't fix them. :( I just received "Cabela's Dangerous Hunts" in the mail from Gamefly. I was really looking forward to that. Now I'll never know. (sob)
Another week has come to an end. I got my DVDs today! One of them is about train trips in Alaska, and the other is season seven of "Midsomer Murders," a show on British television. I can't wait to see them.
My cousin's wife had a baby! It was a girl. :)
I go to the dentist on Wednesday of next week. This is one of the few times in my life I've looked forward to going. I have to get a filling replaced, plus a regular check-up. Normally I don't like this sort of thing, but when the filling popped out, it kind of hurt, and it will be a relief to not have to deal with that anymore.
I didn't get much sleep today. (I work night shift, so I have to sleep during the afternoon.) Hopefully I will be all right tonight. It is the last day of the week, and it will be good to come home and relax.
Thanks, see you later. :)
Hello. It's Wednesday. I discovered I have a chipped tooth, which is no fun. I'll have to call for a dentist's appointment.
Tomorrow I have to go to the doctor after work. (Not the same as the dentist) I'm glad the office lady called to remind me.
The new episode of my podcast is up. I had to try and upload it about ten times. No kidding. Their server is hardly the best in the business. It is free, though.
My Sony mp3 player was on the fritz, as it's done many times in the past few weeks, and I again had to erase all the files because it wouldn't play anything. That stinks, because I was listening to a lot of audiobooks, and I was about halfway through some of them, so they were wiped out when I refreshed the player. My local library allows you to check out audiobooks online for free. You can only have six at most, and they are valid for a week. So I lost all of those... dang. :(
Well, I gave some of my food to the dog, and she seemed to like it. She likes all our food. :)
That's it for now. See you soon. Thanks. :)
Hello. It's the 29th of May.
I got a new battery charger that just plugs into the computer with a USB cord. I'm so glad, because I am sick of having regular plug-in chargers fall out of the socket. No kidding. I always come home to see the charger either on the floor, or tilted, or something weird. This time, I can place it flat on my desk and be sure it's okay the whole time.
I also finished an audiobook this morning, "Lost in a Good Book" by Jasper Fforde. I am hoping to make some more progress in "The Runes of Earth" by Stephen Donaldson, which is better than I remember. I read some of it before.
Right now, I'm enjoying a USL game between the Cleveland City Stars and the Carolina Rail Hawks. It's a lot of fun, and I wish I didn't have to leave for work just now. But I do. So, I'll see you later. Thanks. :)
Hello. It's already the last week of May. Everything's going so quickly! :)
I have a new podcast up and running, and you can listen to it if you'd like. I'm already working on the next episode, which I hope to post before the end of this week.
Just now, I'm enjoying a yummy breakfast of whole wheat waffles and syrup. I didn't put any butter, because I ran out of the fat-free kind. I have to remind myself to go to the supermarket and get it.
This morning, I'd like to go to the library and pay my fine. They were closed Monday for the holiday, but then, they are also closed on Mondays every week now, because of budget cuts. In any event, it'll be nice to get this taken care of.
Birds are smart! Animal lovers might enjoy this story. Rook birds are using tools. Pretty soon, they'll even be making better waffles then we do.
That's it for now. See you soon. Thanks. :)
What is your most treasured memory and why?

Hanging out with my brother. I miss him.
Hello. It's a fine Saturday afternoon, which means it's time to watch Indy racing. The qualifying stuff for the 500 is on today. It's also on XM satellite radio, so I am recording that. It'll be nice to have that to listen to next week.
I may be going to get a new scooter today. It's spring, so I hope to have plenty of time to spend at the park.
I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks at work. I'm in the middle of "Titus Groan" by Mervyn Peake, and "The Curse of Chalion" by Lois McMaster Bujold. They're both good. I wasn't as happy with the short story collection by Walter Moseley. This afternoon I'd like to go to the library and pay my fines in person. I think I owe $1.85 or something. Yep, I'm a reprobate.
That's it for now. Thanks.
No, I haven't seen it. :) That's funny, though. read more
