Hello. :) It's Sunday evening, and there isn't much on TV, except for a couple episodes of "Cops" and "Jacked: Auto Theft Task Force." I've been using dental floss almost every day since my last visit, when I got my fillings installed, so I have newly ouch-y teeth as well. I hate to floss. It'll impress the dentist next time, I guess.
My mother's relatives came over today. They ate and talked a lot, and gave my dog some of their food. :) Keisha must have been really happy-- all those people to smell, all those crumbs on the floor to pick up.
I'm trying to finish some audiobooks that I got from the library. That should make up for the bland TV. See you later. Thanks. :)
Hello. It's hot here. I'm getting ready to go to church. I hope the air condition decides to work today. We had some trouble with it last week-- luckily it was fixed before I got there. :)
I have some new stuff to listen to that I just got. I ordered the new CDs from Pete Yorn, Fischerspooner and Hadley's Hope. I'm looking forward to all of them after I get home. It'll be nice to get in a swim, too.
I ate really healthy stuff yesterday. Tomato soup, a granola bar, a couple pieces of fruit, and some vegetarian chicken. It's about time for me to do some more grocery shopping, too. I think I've cornered the market on tomato soup. :)
That's it for now. See you soon. Thanks. :)
Hi. Finally managed to catch up on my sleep today, so I am feeling better than yesterday. I still need to take some time off, but at least I can walk around without listing to one side. :)
I need to work on another episode of my podcast. Hope the uploader works. That thing is always so frustrating.
Had a chance to do some reading. That was nice. It helped me relax.
Got to go. See you later. :)
Hello. It was another hot day here, and I spent most of watching the "Deadliest Catch" marathon on teevee. I also saw the Camping World Grand Prix, an Indy Car race, via live streaming video on the computer.
I saw a brand of bottled water called Vapor Water. Huh? Wouldn't that be steam? :)
The dentist gave me a special kind of toothpaste, which is designed to help fix the enamel on my teeth. I'm also using the purple Listerine. What is Listerine made out of, anyway? The stuff NASA uses to clean space launchers? :|
That's it for the moment. I'll see you soon. Thanks. :)
Hello. It's June 22. Some good news, at least: I picked up a replacement X Box 360, and the set up was a breeze. You don't get a cord with a switch for HD or old style TVs anymore-- everything's HD. :) I was able to dig up my old Live Arcade account. I'm glad it worked. I would hate to have lost my game points. This means I also get to keep my Game Fly account, which is nice. I like to have a source of free game points-- if I like the game, I play it a lot and rack up lots of achievements; if not, I play it once or twice and send it in. This reminds me-- now I can go to Game Stop and trade in my old games. There are a few sitting on the shelf. I don't know if there's anything good coming out now, but it wouldn't hurt to put value on my GS card.
Father's Day was nice. My Dad liked his present-- I got him a gift card. :)
I also got a new dance game for the X Box. It comes with a floor pad. Yay! I get to jump all over the place, like in the arcade, and make a fool out of myself! :)
That's it for now. I'll see you later. Thanks.
Rest in peace, X Box 360. I hardly knew ye.
Now I've got to pull another gajillion dollars out of my-- oh, never mind.
I called Game Spot and they said they don't fix them. :( I just received "Cabela's Dangerous Hunts" in the mail from Gamefly. I was really looking forward to that. Now I'll never know. (sob)
Another week has come to an end. I got my DVDs today! One of them is about train trips in Alaska, and the other is season seven of "Midsomer Murders," a show on British television. I can't wait to see them.
My cousin's wife had a baby! It was a girl. :)
I go to the dentist on Wednesday of next week. This is one of the few times in my life I've looked forward to going. I have to get a filling replaced, plus a regular check-up. Normally I don't like this sort of thing, but when the filling popped out, it kind of hurt, and it will be a relief to not have to deal with that anymore.
I didn't get much sleep today. (I work night shift, so I have to sleep during the afternoon.) Hopefully I will be all right tonight. It is the last day of the week, and it will be good to come home and relax.
Thanks, see you later. :)
Hello. It's Wednesday. I discovered I have a chipped tooth, which is no fun. I'll have to call for a dentist's appointment.
Tomorrow I have to go to the doctor after work. (Not the same as the dentist) I'm glad the office lady called to remind me.
The new episode of my podcast is up. I had to try and upload it about ten times. No kidding. Their server is hardly the best in the business. It is free, though.
My Sony mp3 player was on the fritz, as it's done many times in the past few weeks, and I again had to erase all the files because it wouldn't play anything. That stinks, because I was listening to a lot of audiobooks, and I was about halfway through some of them, so they were wiped out when I refreshed the player. My local library allows you to check out audiobooks online for free. You can only have six at most, and they are valid for a week. So I lost all of those... dang. :(
Well, I gave some of my food to the dog, and she seemed to like it. She likes all our food. :)
That's it for now. See you soon. Thanks. :)
Hello. It's the 29th of May.
I got a new battery charger that just plugs into the computer with a USB cord. I'm so glad, because I am sick of having regular plug-in chargers fall out of the socket. No kidding. I always come home to see the charger either on the floor, or tilted, or something weird. This time, I can place it flat on my desk and be sure it's okay the whole time.
I also finished an audiobook this morning, "Lost in a Good Book" by Jasper Fforde. I am hoping to make some more progress in "The Runes of Earth" by Stephen Donaldson, which is better than I remember. I read some of it before.
Right now, I'm enjoying a USL game between the Cleveland City Stars and the Carolina Rail Hawks. It's a lot of fun, and I wish I didn't have to leave for work just now. But I do. So, I'll see you later. Thanks. :)
